This sweet boy goes by Licorice. He has been patiently waiting, and is more than ready to join a loving permanent foster or adoptive home. Licorice is just under 12 years old and desperately needs to find a place to settle down and rest his head, preferably on a lap. If you're looking for someone to cuddle and hold, this is your dog. His favorite types of people are adults, and he would love to be the center of attention. Animal siblings aren't the best, or at least not ones he would have to interact with as unfortunately he was bullied by other animals in the past.

Recently, Licorice was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy. The good news is Licorice is not and will not be in pain and he can continue to be as active as he feels able to. Due to his recent diagnosis, he would do best if he was in a ranch style home, or if he could have his living area on the first level. The fewer stairs he would need to navigate the better. He slips and has a difficult time on slick floor surfaces (vinyl, laminate, hardwood). He does wonderfully on carpeting, as well as on pavement, and the lawn.

All Licorice has ever wanted was to be comfortable and loved. He is very appreciative of those who care for him, and if given the opportunity will give any foster a ton of love in return.
