We have had Eggbert three weeks as of today and he is doing great! Formerly a shy little boy who hid from volunteers, Eggbert now strusts his stuff in the house and takes no nonsense from his wheaten brother Bentley or his schnauzer brother Clancy. He is very secure in his family pack but still is afraid of new people and new dogs, but we are working on that.
He has so many endearing habits! He is very cat-like and can jump onto chairs and low tables, and likes to nap on a kitchen chair that is pushed under the table, as if sleeping in a drawer! He is presently sitting behind me in the computer chair, and from there if I start the printer, he will jump onto the desk and stick his head in the printer. He barks at cell phones and always alerts his mom when her phone is ringing. Eggbert arrived pretty well housebroken, for which we are grateful. He walks across end tables and steals pens, socks, shoes, anything that looks interesting. In this picture he is napping curled up against his brother Clancy. He is not yappy at all and will only bark occasionally, and only at certain things. We are thrilled to have Eggbert and we thank Save-A-Pet for bringing him to us.
It's time for some Doggy Summer Fun at DOGS ON PARADE at Antioch's Summer Bazaar on Saturday, June 16th....
