Since 1996, the rigorous demands placed on our kennels, cat rooms, animal health facilities, HVAC systems, roof & septic system, and even our public areas have taken their toll. In the past, Save-A-Pet dedicated as much operating income as possible to animal care costs. In doing so, building maintenance and systems replacements really only occurred when they were absolutely necessary. Today, many improvements and replacements are now needed to catch up with the mounting demands, and needed to secure the future.

The need for a capital campaign is also a testament to our no-kill mission. Save-A-Pet has grown substantially since 1996. The demand for our no-kill rescue services is greater now than ever before. Some of our building systems are original and failing. Some don’t provide certain technological advances which would make the residents’ home less costly to operate and easier to maintain. The capital campaign will occur over several years, and projects will not begin until funding is secured.
Supporting the Forever Friends Capital Campaign will help us enrich the residents’ quality of life, expedite their adoptions into loving homes that they richly deserve, and then save more lives in the months and years to come.
